As the daughter of a former wildlife researcher mother, Kemi Kalikawe was born in Tanzania and grew up in the scorching sun of the Kalahari Desert and game parks of Botswana. She learned how to sew by watching her mother and has since 2008 built a brand in Tanzania that is centered around strength and femininity, celebrating different body shapes. Influenced by her background as an interior designer, she creates abstract and asymmetrical women??s fashion. She is an award-winning designer who has showcased on 4 different continents. From Naledi Fashion, Kemi Kalikawe is the new brand, focusing on building traceability, by transitioning to the use of custom-made prints and technology to enhance the customer??s expe
