Mahaumes Designs is a brand that was created in 2017 by Mohamed Juma. Mohamed is a passionate guy who loves fashion but started taking fashion as work in 20@7 when he participated in Swahili Fashion Week Washington Benbella Emerging Designers Competition of that year. He came out as one of the finalists and got to showcase his designs of that year's competition. In the following year, he got a chance to showcase at Lady In Red, then the East African Fashion Show. Furthermore, he got a chance to dress various beauty pageants contestants from the Miss IFM, Miss Kinondoni, and Miss Tanzania just to name a few. In 2019, Mohamed won a Swahili Fashion Week Khimji Upcoming Designer of the Year. He then won A women's Wear Designer award of the Year 2020 at Swahili Fashion Week and showcased his collect that was one of that year's best collections showcased.
